The diamond formation has the first and last reels with 3 lines, 2nd and 4th with 4 lines and the middle reel with 5 lines. This has been used before, with the voodoo-themed Day of the Dead using the same system. Wins work in both directions. It takes a little getting used to before you will quickly spot wins going right to left. Slots have been left to right for so long that I naturally look for that pattern first.
